Kmart Corporation and U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Kick Off Metro Detroit Toys for Tots Toy Campaign, Dec. 2

WHAT: Kmart Corporation, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and Ford Trucks kick off the Metro Detroit area Toys for Tots toy drive at three Detroit area Kmart stores this Sunday with special visits from Santa and the Marines. Local radio personalities will be on-hand to promote the event.

WHO: U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and Kmart Associates with special appearances by Santa and Kmart's famous dancing BlueLights as well as fun activities for kids.

WHY: Last week, Kmart Corporation kicked off their national retail sponsorship of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Campaign with a $25,000 corporate contribution to the holiday toy drive. As part of the company's Leaders in Learning focus supporting traditional and non-traditional education initiatives, Kmart is asking its customers and associates to "give the gift of learning" by donating educational toys or books to the Toys for Tots campaign. Kmart will be collecting toys at Kmart stores nationwide through December 14.
