Kmart Pharmacy Celebrates GoldK Day for Seniors

There are more than 70 million Americans over the age of 50 living in the United States. As part of Kmart's effort to provide helpful information about growing older, Kmart pharmacy is announcing its annual GoldK Day on November 18th from 9am-1pm at all 1100 Kmart pharmacy locations.

The activities planned for GoldK day include free blood pressure screenings, free memory screenings, Medicare health plan selection assistance and more.

"Kmart wants to remind seniors that we care about their health and GoldK Day is a way for our pharmacists to give back to these important customers by not only offering free screenings, but assistance with Medicare health plan selection and information about disease states which can help seniors make better decisions about their healthcare." said Mark Doerr, vice president, Kmart Pharmacy.

No appointments are necessary and all walk-ins are welcome. Customers can call 1-800-866-0086 or visit www.kmart.com/pharmacy to locate their nearest Kmart pharmacy and find out more information about GoldK Day events in their area.

Kmart GoldK Day initiatives are tied to the efforts of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America's (AFA) National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month, the annual initiative is aimed at promoting early detection of memory problems and appropriate intervention.
